Docked at Gregg's - Cape Coral |
We tied up at Gregg & Jo's home (Wayne’s brother’s home in Cape Coral)on the 15th. It’s been a year & it was great seeing them again. It was off to the races as they took us to their boat club’s dinner party at the Elk’s Club on Matlacha. Christmas was in the air for sure. We settled into a comfortable routine - after some alone time, we would meet by the pool bar for conversation, happy hour & an occasional dinner together. We rented a car for a week. I think it was the 18th I drove to Naples to see my son, David, his son, Anthony & my new grandson,

Nicholas. It was a happy reunion. On the 21st, Mickey had the ’usual suspects’ over for a day of fun, relaxation & yummy dinner - David, Shannon,

Anthony & Nicholas joined in the fun along with Kathryn’s daughter, (another Shannon), her bud, Eric,

Davis & his new love, Laurie. Nicholas had no chance but to have red hair as Shannon, her mom & sisters, my David all are red-head as well as
me, I was strawberry blonde as a kid. I thought it interesting & really great that Anthony showed up with a very thick Harry Potter book & actually read it while there. What a great kid! On the 24th Wayne & Gregg’s very old friend from Wisconsin, Steve Hamming

came by for a surprise visit. That night we tagged along with Gregg & Jo to Bette & Frankie’s annual house party on Matlacha (mat-la-shey). Frankie had a liquor store called Friendly Frankie’s & converted his garage into a
